News Executive

We are looking for two News Executives to join our Automotive News Team. If you are a good communicator with an eye for written detail and an interest in the media industry, then we would love to hear from you…

What would be your responsibilities?

As a News Executive within our Automotive News Team, you will be responsible for researching international media coverage, writing content and uploading it to an in-house system to send daily and/or weekly news reports to international clients. You will also provide support to the News Managers in their day to day delivery on one or more client accounts.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing daily and weekly news reports to send out to domestic and international clients
  • Providing support to News Managers in the running of client accounts
  • Writing and editing content for daily and weekly news reports
  • Summarising international media coverage into a digestible format
  • Researching international print and online media
  • Selecting relevant content for client-specific news reports
  • Supporting and training editors and assistants
  • The role is based on a full-time contract and the successful candidate would be expected to work 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday. Hours of work will be between 5.00am and 2.00pm daily.

    We are looking for someone with:

  • An academic degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Journalism, English, Business Administration, Social Sciences or similar; or equivalent industry experience
  • Proven editorial and research skills – as part of a university project or examples of workplace experience
  • Excellent written and spoken English with in-depth understanding of grammar
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Office
  • Beneficial:

  • Basic knowledge in automotive sector
  • Master’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Media, Social Sciences or English
