Founder and President
Dr. Mathes is the founder and President of PRIME Research. Before founding PRIME in 1987, he was the Managing Director of the German Newspaper Marketing Association, Frankfurt and performed research at the Research Center (ZUMA) and the Institute of Media Studies at the University of Mainz. An expert in the field of communication research and measurement, he has studied politics and media sciences and is a prolific author and lecturer. Dr. Mathes is a member of the International Communication Association (ICA), International Association for Mass Communication Research (IAMCR) and German Communication Association (DGPuk).
Chief Executive Officer, Americas
Mark is the CEO of PRIME Research Americas. Since 1993, Mark has devoted his career to helping many of the world’s most respected organizations and brands demonstrate and generate a positive return on their investment in corporate and brand communications. Mark is the author of “Unleashing the Power of PR: A Contrarian’s Guide to Marketing and Communication” as well as chapters in three other texts. Before PRIME, Mark was the Global Director and Senior Vice President of Ketchum Research prior to which he was the CEO and president of Delahaye. He is a a member of the Arthur W. Page Society, a Trustee of the Museum of Public Relations and a Trustee of the Institute for Public Relations, for whom he serves as the 2017/18 Chairman of the Measurement Commission. He is an inductee of the PR Measurement Hall of Fame.
Chief Operating Officer
Timo is the Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for every aspect of PRIME’s operations, including implementing strategic direction, managing and deepening client relationships, accelerating innovation and developing talent. Thomann-Rompf joined PRIME in 2000, working originally in the company’s headquarters in Mainz, Germany and then moving to the firm’s Ann Arbor, Michigan research center in 2010. Now leading our Global Functions as Chief Operating Officer of Cision Insights, Timo continues to play a lead role in the company’s innovation through the creation and deployment of PRIME’s portfolio of integrated online services for monitoring, analyzing and interpreting social and and traditional media.
Vice President Global Sales & Marketing
Having supported PRIME Research for more than five years as an IT advisor Thomas joined PRIME as Vice President Global Sales & Marketing early 2016. He focuses on developing our new IT products and Software-as-a-Service offerings through the creation and execution of strategies for market launching both directly and through partners around the world. Thomas comes with over 25 years of experience within the Software Industry. Prior to joining PRIME, Thomas was mainly building and running sales and marketing teams at Kodak, SAS Institute, FileNet, MIS, Computer Associates (CA) and most recently InterSystems. Thomas has a degree in Economics from University of Mannheim, Germany.
Human Resources Director
Irene is the Human Resources Director across all PRIME offices. She joined PRIME in 2000 to create an international operations structure after which she concentrated on recruiting and professional development. Irene works with PRIME HR managers around the world to elevate PRIME as the preferred employer in the communications research sector. Prior to PRIME, she worked for SAT.1, one of Germany’s private TV stations, as Chief Operations Manager in Marketing and Programme Promotion, where she built their Promotion Design Department.
Chief Operating Officer, United Kingdom
Based in PRIME’s research centre in Oxford, UK, Bernd Hitzemann is responsible for all aspects of PRIME’s UK operations, including implementing the strategic direction, accelerating innovation and developing talent. Bernd Hitzemann is an executive with more than ten years’ experience in the communications measurement and strategic media insights business. He started his professional career working for social media start-ups and holds a diploma in media management. Bernd has a deep knowledge of PRIME Research having worked in a variety of roles at the company since 2007.
